One of the first video game genres ever existed is arcade. This is a genre that can unite everything you like: journeys, adventures, challenges, and tasks with prizes. In most of arcades, you act as a main hero of the story, a character that has a particular task to complete. You need to reach an aim, mastering level by level, overcoming enemies (including the bosses) and gathering valuable stuff (like stars, golden coins, or anything like that). In most cases, the levels and things you do are the same – nothing really changes. The main feature of the game is usually a story and the main participants: they create a basis and skeleton for everything else that game developers add.
